I briefly came here because my family had hibachi from another restaurant a couple days before and had a ton of fried rice leftovers. We like to recook the rice and put in egg and some veggies and then also cook our own steaks. We didn't have the ginger sauce though that they pass out at hibachi restaurants. We stopped at two places who wouldn't let us purchase it. Sone, however, was extremely friendly and only charged us $2 for four or five ramekins of the ginger sauce. We gave him a $5 bill and thanked him. It's the simple interactions that make a big impact. Thank you for helping us out when you had no reason to!
Just as previous reviews, it is a hole in the wall, but food is AMAZING!!!! Filet & Chicken Entree will rock your world! Order at the counter and grab a table or take to go. I can't believe how tender the steak is, or how tasty the whole meal is!
I was gonna stop at Jimmyz but then remembered that they closed down so we opted to try Sone instead. We were taking it to go so I went in and ordered at the counter then went to sit in the car for a few. It only took about 15 minutes and I was on my way. The inside is nothing special and the menu is limited but the food was good. I got 3 chicken hibachi dinners and took them back to Charleston for dinner and they held up great. I would definitely stop here again.
The hibachi here is AMAZING! It's definitely a hole in the wall, but worth it! Cheap food, and the staff is so friendly. Very worth it!!
Got the filet steak entree and it was very good. Plenty of food to take home. It's more of a self serve restaurant but I actually like that. Will definitely be back!!
We live in Pawleys and heard about Sone Hibachi from a staffer at MUSC in Charleston. He remarked how he grew up in Pawleys and ate at Sone for years and how good it was. We tried it today for lunch and were not disappointed in any way. The food was all very good. it was very tasty and the portions were large. and not expensive. The restaurant was casual and clean. the owners were very nice. We can't wait to eat there again.
